3d scanning and 3d modelling for the dairy industry

Order a 3D scanning and 3D modelling service for your dairy plant buildings, facilities and equipment. You'll get a 3D digital prototype of your chosen building to assist you in modernising or repairing your production facility.

Viravix Engineering connects the best engineers with dairy plant owners.

What are 3d scanning and 3d modelling

Both 3D technologies allow you to get a 3D image of the desired object - a bim model.
This can be a production building or individual equipment in it: pasteurizers, separators, CIP washers.
The only difference is that 3D modelling produces a design model, while 3D scanning produces an existing model.

BIM reflects the characteristics of a real object and is suitable for managing it at all stages of its life cycle: design, construction, operation, conservation and liquidation. Volumetric digital models are much more convenient and visual than flat 2d drawings.

You can order:
  • 3D modelling of a plant.
    It helps to restore project documentation, prepare for reconstruction or get a digital copy of the future complex.
  • 3D modeling of production shops.
    You will receive a model of the individual production area with all devices and engineering networks.
  • 3D modelling of equipment.
    Helps with the installation of new units: pasteurizers, CIP washers, etc.
  • 3D scanning of the plant and individual rooms.
    Clearly shows existing operating conditions and spatial constraints. This makes it easier to plan the placement of new facilities and assess compliance with regulations.
  • 3D scan of a facility.
    You can control the digital prototype, make changes to it and see the results at a glance. This makes it easier to monitor operation and modernisation work.
A BIM model is not just a three-dimensional visualisation of an object, but a prototype with all the characteristics. It contains information about the construction, the materials used, the utilities, the equipment and even the furniture. The user will see all the features of the object, including cracks in the floor and defects in the finish.
The key point is that it is a computer model. Which means it can be shared, modified or cancelled if there is an error.

3D scans and 3D modelling help to:

  • choose specific technical solutions;
  • understand how an object will behave in operation;
  • draw up cost estimates, construction plans, equipment specifications
  • manage operations, plan repairs and refurbishments;
  • design for abandonment, decommissioning or dismantling.

With a bim model, the client will not overpay for inefficient design and engineering solutions that will be unsuitable for existing operating conditions.

Stages of 3d scanning and 3d modelling

Preparation
  • Agreement of terms of reference and timetable.
  • Signing of contract.
  • Obtaining and analysing raw data, assessing complexity.
Measurement
  • Scanning of objects with a FARO S150 laser.
Create BIM model
  • Create a point cloud
  • Shape a digital prototype of the object using SolidWork or Revit software.
The customer receives a bim model of a dairy or a separate workshop or production area. The degree of detail is chosen by the customer: LOD100, LOD200, LOD300, LOD400 and LOD500.
Who are we
We are Viravix Engineering, an expert community of food processing engineers. Our experts have worked for industry giants for over 15 years, where they have worked their way up from an ordinary equipment operation worker to an area expert with responsibility for 15-20 plants.

Viravix Engineering connects the best engineers with manufacturers.

As part of Viravix Engineering, we have already completed dozens of projects in Ukraine and Europe. We carry out turnkey projects or assist our customers at individual stages: from design to service.

In our work we use the best international practices and technologies. 3D scanning and 3D modelling of objects and processes in dairies is one of them. We practically always use this method in our projects.

Our partner company is ScanyWell. It specialises in reverse engineering - 3D scanning of parts of any size: from a few centimetres to several metres. If the customer wishes, we will print the digital model on CNC machines or 3D printers or transfer the electronic documentation.
