Product Type: Regulating Valve

Description:

The APV DELTA RG4 is a high-performance hygienic regulating valve developed for accurate and continuous control of flow and pressure in sanitary processes. Designed for demanding environments such as the dairy, food, brewery, and pharmaceutical industries, this valve offers precise modulation of liquids and gases across various process conditions.

With its compact, ball-shaped housing and advanced diaphragm actuator design, the DELTA RG4 ensures smooth product flow, exceptional hygiene, and compatibility with modern automation standards.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Gentle Product Handling: Ball-shaped valve housing prevents sump or dome formation, ensuring smooth, crevice-free internal flow and protecting product integrity.

  • Hygienic Design: Fully CIP/SIP cleanable; crevice-free sealing with approved APV profile seals eliminates contamination risk.

  • Excellent Control Precision: Offers a correction ratio of 50:1, supporting both linear and equal percentage characteristics.

  • Flexible Positioning Options: Can be equipped with integrated positioner or external positioner (e.g., NAMUR standard).

  • Smart Control: Optional communication via HART and Profibus protocols.

  • Robust Sealing: PTFE diaphragm, stainless steel bellows, or steam barrier available for aseptic applications.

  • Leakage Protection: Soft-seat stem seal achieves leakage class 6 (DIN IEC 534) without additional shut-off devices.

  • Process Integration: Compatible with T- and LL-housings for mixing/divert applications, mating flanges or weld-in installation.

Technical Characteristics

  • Actuation: Diaphragm actuator with positioner

    • Reversible function: spring-raising or spring-lowering

    • Optional electric or pneumatic actuation

    • Standard pneumatic control signal: 3–15 psi (0.2–1.0 bar)

    • Electro-pneumatic version: 4–20 mA

  • Control Independence: Valve stroke is controlled regardless of pressure, flow, or external disturbances.

  • Modular Design: Fully modular building block system – stem and seat can be replaced to match desired Cv/Kv values.
