Faster Access, Easier Maintenance and Improved Hygiene

The APV FastFrame™ plate heat exchanger is designed to reduce the time required for opening, servicing and closing the plate pack. Its innovative frame construction eliminates conventional external tie bars and uses an integrated mechanical drive system operated with a powered wrench.

This design allows maintenance teams to access the plate pack quickly, while supporting consistent tightening and reducing the risk of plate deformation or excessive gasket compression.

FastFrame is particularly suitable for hygienic production environments where maintenance time, cleanability and process availability are critical.

Manual Drive System

An integrated gear-reduction mechanism allows the plate pack to be opened and closed using a powered wrench. The system provides controlled movement and helps ensure uniform tightening across the entire plate pack.

Tie-Bar-Free Frame Design

The FastFrame construction removes the need for conventional external tie bars. This simplifies access to the plate pack, reduces the number of components around the frame and makes servicing more convenient.

Redesigned Top Bar

The improved top-bar geometry supports faster and more effective washdown. Fewer difficult-to-clean areas help improve hygiene and reduce the risk of product residue or bacterial accumulation.

Simplified Frame Seals

Press-fit standard seals simplify installation and provide reliable sealing around the frame components.

Hygienic Foot Design

The frame incorporates a hygienic support and foot design developed for sanitary processing environments and compliance with applicable 3-A and EHEDG design principles.

Multi-Section Capability

Several thermal duties can be combined within one frame. This makes FastFrame suitable for processes that require heating, cooling, regeneration or multiple temperature stages.

Certified Pressure Design

The frame is available in configurations designed in accordance with relevant ASME pressure requirements.

Opening and Closing in Under Two Minutes

The integrated drive system enables rapid access to the plate pack without manually removing multiple tie bars.
